Quality Homes, for people who need them, done right.
Adobe Pathway is a New Mexico nonprofit housing developer. We build homes in the Albuquerque metro area and make them available to families the market has priced out, by using the state’s housing finance programs to close the gap between what a home costs to build and what a working family can actually pay.
We were incorporated in 2026 and hold 501(c)(3) status.

Who we build for
New Mexico is short roughly 32,000 affordable housing units. People on the wrong side of that number are searching but the market has simply run out of options at their price point.
Too many New Mexico families are one rent increase away from losing their home. Stable, affordable housing, rented or owned, is what lets a family plan past next month and thrive.
Those are the families we build for. Not as a demographic category, but as neighbors. We think about the kids who will grow up in these homes, and what stable housing does for a family over ten and twenty years.
What We Believe
Quality and affordability can coexist.
Affordability comes from how a project is financed, not from cutting corners on materials or workmanship. A family living in a home built with public funds deserves to be proud of where they live. We don’t build downward to hit a price.
Idealism can’t beat out the bottom line.
We are a nonprofit with a mission, but we are also an organization that knows how construction and real estate actually work in New Mexico. A model that ignores the economics of homebuilding doesn’t last long enough to help anyone.
We’re partners with the state, not just beneficiaries of it.
The legislature has put real resources behind affordable housing. When we take public money, we’re accountable for spending it well and reporting on it honestly.
The mission doesn’t end when construction does.
The affordability restrictions we record stay with the property. The public investment doesn’t evaporate at the first resale. Each home stays in the affordable stock for the next family, and the one after that.

How we work
Our financing model layers state construction programs with buyer and tenant assistance to bring the cost of a home within reach. We pursue grant funding from public and private sources to cover project gaps and operating costs.
We operate with a small founding team and a deliberate scope. Every project starts with a single question: can we execute this with excellence? A project that stretches us past what we can manage responsibly is one we don’t take on. Growth is what happens when the work is done right — it isn’t the goal by itself.
We’re not trying to be all things in affordable housing. We’re trying to be very good at one thing.
